Shonkinite Sketches Presents CORTINA: A Special Invitation on October 1 in Livingston Montana
As we took August off, we asked ourselves, how can we further develop our projects?
How can we let our community know what we are doing? How do we ‘break in’ to the industry and sell what we have made?
A plan began to unfold. In a bold move, we designed a ‘run of show’ to showcase the making of a tv series. And a behind-the-scenes look at what we have created thus far.
Two years ago, we set out to create four original songs to four proof of music videos capturing the story arcs, themes, and genres of the three-sister series of CORTINA, plus the universal character The Maestra.
And, we have done it! Maybe not in the way we planned or with the people, budget, and timeline we expected. But it is done.
CORTINA is a narrative, a Hollywood term for drama…as opposed to a documentary or reality tv. More Hollywood terms? CORTINA is an episodic, procedural, serial series. Each episode has a procedure, a Tango lesson, which builds on the episode before.
